Job Shadowing Experience: Hang Seng Bank and AlipayHK
During the summer holiday, our students, Yau Tsz Yat and Ali Thareem, participated in the Job Shadowing Programmes organised by Hang Seng Bank and AlipayHK respectively. The programmes simulated a real job application process, requiring students to prepare cover letters and résumés, and attend interviews conducted by the participating companies. Through this experience, they gained first-hand insight into the recruitment process and workplace expectations.
Throughout the job shadowing experience, the students closely observed professionals at work, engaged in discussions, and participated in daily workplace activities. This enabled them to develop a deeper understanding of corporate operations, workplace culture, and the skills and knowledge required in different roles. The programmes not only broadened their understanding of the banking and fintech industries but also helped them reflect on their future study and career pathways.
By experiencing the professional environment first-hand, the students were able to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the workplace, broaden their horizons, and explore the diverse opportunities that lie ahead in their career journeys.
